Ah, what a fun project. It was great to have a goal (checkout the show here) so thanks to keith for setting it up. Sorry for the bad photo, the greens are not showing up at all.  I will update when I import photos from my “real” camera.  This was taken with a camera phone.

Working on my board for the skateboard show at whq. My goal was something fun that I could paint in a day. So I decided that making it a limited palette and simple design was the way to go. Go in theory, but I am about 8 hours in and still have a ways to go. Here it is so far…..

I wish I had a better name.  I wanted to create a piece of cuteness for my daughter, Maya.  But it still needed to have a little bit of edge. I still want to rework the clouds to make her name more pronounced.  Hopefully it will be ready for her third birthday in September 2009.

Well, you can see this as my new blog header.  I just love the devil as a manifestation of our inner selves.

Even the devil has to stop and smell the roses.

I like the octopus. It has lots of legs (or arms). It can be scary or it can be cute. It also may have something to do with too many episodes of Squidly Didley in my youth, but either way, the allure of the Octupus is undeniable. Which let me to wonder, why 8 legs, why not 6, 7, 9. 3? And then, is it an Octopus, or a, or a sectopus? You get the idea…
